We had help from my cousin's boyfriend and his father, who are real-life monster hunters. We started fighting the vampires because some of them attacked our neighbors and friends. Then we found out the vampires weren't here because they wanted to kill us. They were here because they wanted to save us. The vampires knew something horrible was heading our way, something that could wipe out all the people on the planet. Trust me: the vampires weren't being cool. They weren't here out of the kindness of their cold, dead hearts. People are food for vampires. If people die out, so do they. So the vampires showed up. Then the zombies showed up. Then I find out that neither of them is the real enemy. The real monster is the thing in the woods. It looks just like my dead mother...
